Major Research Activities
Study of physical, chemical and biological processes in surface waters and ground water regime, resources and their interactions in the light of climate change and human influences
Study towards development of strategies and planning of integrated river basin management principles in co-relation with forest, pasture and mining resources management policies
Assessment of influence of climate change and anthropogenic impact on water resources, regime, quality and aquatic live
Study on improvement of water storage in the lakes of Valley of Lakes, establishment of water storage in upper zones of river basins to reduce desertification and natural disasters
Experimental study and modeling water and energy cycle and land cover processes to prevent desertification, impact of drought and floods
Study on accumulation of precipitation in quaternary deposits to increase soil moisture and local water resource for pasture and agriculture land watering
Permanent monitoring of glaciers and mitigation of impact of climate warming
Conservation and rational use of water resource
