Meteorological and other necassary information are collected via information and Computer Center from varous sources inside and outside country, and processed for providing different meteorological information to users.
Meteorological information such as forecasts, advisories and warming is disseminated not only to general public through information media, but also directly to the ogranizations and companies concerned with aviation, railways, electric power, algriculture, recreaction and tourism, etc.
IMH widely uses Global Telecommunication System (GTS), Sattelite and Radar information, Radiosonde data, Geographical Information System (GIS) and modern powerfull HP, Dec Workstation computers and its network in above operation and researches.
For safety operation of civil aviation and reduction and preventoin of natural disasters and also for expediting the natoinal economy and development activities of Mongolia, following systems were indroduced under the Project to improve the activities and facilities and of IHM.
